Frequent vibration error are not normal and are usually due to the proximity between the instrument and the reflector. The instrument is best operated with a minimal distance of 8ft between the reflector and device.
If the distance is correct and frequent error still occurs, try to realign the laser on the reflector (observe the pattern reflected on the instrument and make sure that a bright spot overlays with the sensor hole)
The PRO app is required to connect multiple instruments.
To find your Chronocurl, press on the blue magnifying glass on the home page of the app.
If your instruments don't show up make sure that:
- All permissions were granted when installing the app
- The instruments are powered up (laser should be on)
- You have the PRO app installed if you're trying to connect multiple instruments
- There is a direct line of sight between the phone and the instruments
- Your device is compatible with bluetooth BLE
There is variation in how the laser beams look and how focussed they are. We have yet to see an instance where this affects the performance or accuracy of the instrument.
Similarly, the laser intensity can vary slightly from one instrument to another without it affecting the performance.
We QC all instruments before shipping but it can happen that the lens is displaced due to an impact. If that is the case we will replace the instrument under warranty.
If the intensity of the laser too low, you may experience poor performance. If using fresh batteries don't fix the issue, please contact us. We can guide you through a sensor calibration routine or arrange to replace under warranty or repair your instrument.
In the best conditions, the instrument will be able to connect at more than 200ft. In reality, the specifics of the building will affect the range of the instrument. Having the phone in your pocket, flat on the ground or against the back board may work but is not ideal.
For the best signal possible, we recommend installing the phone/tablet on a mini-tripod located between the two hog lines.

Chronocurl was designed to be used as a standalone instrument to measure the speed of the stone at the first hog line. We believe that speed is what correlates with draw consistency and not split time. For that purpose a single instrument will improve your game substantially.
Adding secondary and tertiary Chronocurl will allow the player to monitor ice condition or/and characterize release consistency (push/pull) simultaneously.
Keep in mind that instruments are all identical and can be use alone or in combination, so a Chronocurl Trio can be split on three sheets and used simultaneously by three different curlers.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you're not, we accept returns of undamaged and unused items within 30 days of the purchase date.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

All of our instruments are covered by a 90-day limited warranty from the date of purchase.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. If a defect is found, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the instrument at no additional cost to you.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper handling
- Normal wear and tear
- Modifications or repairs made by unauthorized personnel
- Damage due to environmental conditions (e.g., heat, moisture)
To make a warranty claim, please provide:
- Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos or videos, if possible
